Booking Procedures

The cottage rental amounts vary, depending on location, size and amenities. For all cottages, there is a $125.00 administrative fee, a non-refundable cleaning fee and Maine State Sales and Lodging tax currently at 7%. All cottages require a refundable security deposit.

Upon acceptance of the cottage rental request, we will forward a Summer Lease Agreement to you. This should be signed and returned to us along with a portion of the total amount due. Balance must be received 60 days prior to your rental date.

Only when we have received the signed Agreement and checks, can we then hold the cottage for your use during the specified dates.

If your application is made within 4 weeks of the start of your rental period, the total amount is due immediately. All payments that are made within 2 weeks of the rental period start date must be paid by certified check or money order.

General Information

Weekly Rates - All Weekly Rates are base rates and do not include security/pet deposits, cleaning fee, administrative fee and Maine sales and lodging taxes.

Check In / Check Out - Check in time is no sooner than 4:00pm. Check out time is no later than 10:00am.

Directions and Keys - Approximately 10 days prior to your vacation date, we will forward to you detailed directions to your cottage, as well as instructions on receiving the house keys.

Drinking water - Some of the cottages may run off of the lake or have well water. In these cases, please be prepared to supply your own bottled water for drinking.

Long Distance Telephone Calls - If there is a cottage telephone, it is listed on the amenities list for the cottage. Most owners have a long distance block on their phones. It is recommended that you purchase long distance calling cards or use a cell phone to make out of town calls.

Cancellations - Should you fail to utilize the specific time reserved, all funds received shall be retained, other than security deposit and cleaning fee, unless the cottage is re-rented by another party at the same rate for the same time period. If the latter occurs, all funds except an addtional $350.00 administrative fee will be refunded.
